What is EDL?

EDL (EMD Debate League) is a platform for competitive debate activities. It connects players, supervisors, and enablers to organize, participate in, and judge debate events. The platform tracks your progress, achievements, and provides tools for skill development.

How do I register for the platform?

To register, click the "Sign Up" button on the login page. You'll need to provide your email address and create a password. After email verification, you'll complete your profile setup including choosing a callsign and selecting your user type (Player, Supervisor, or Enabler).

How do I join an activity?

Navigate to the Activities page from the main menu. Browse available activities and click on one to view details. If registration is open, you'll see a "Register" or "Join" button. Some activities may require approval from a supervisor before you can participate.

How do I earn badges?

Badges are earned by completing specific achievements on the platform. This includes participating in activities, reaching milestones, demonstrating skills, and contributing to the community. Visit the Achievements page to see available badges and track your progress toward earning them.

How do I submit a support ticket?

Go to the Support page and click "Need Help?" or "Submit a Ticket". Select the category that best matches your issue (Activities, Analytics, Badges, etc.), describe your problem, and submit. You'll receive a response within 24 hours.

What are EmCoins?

EmCoins are the platform's virtual currency used for gamification. You earn EmCoins by participating in activities, achieving milestones, and contributing to the community. EmCoins can be used for platform features and serve as a measure of your engagement.

How do I contact support?

You can reach our support team by submitting a ticket at /support/ticket/new, using the Contact Us page at /contact, or emailing support directly. For urgent issues, submitting a ticket is the fastest way to get help.

Can I change my callsign?

Callsigns can be changed through your Profile settings. Navigate to your Profile page, click Edit Profile, and update your callsign. Note that callsign changes may be limited to prevent confusion in ongoing activities.
